HIROKI style Japanese Alternative Medicine - non-invasive therapy by experienced Japanese Doctors to improve pain and autonomic nervous system symptoms.

I have over 20 years of practical experience in this field (acupuncture, moxibustion, massage, and fitness), and I have been practicing scientific non-invasive medicine (alternative medicine and exercise therapy) based on scientific knowledge and findings from research in the field of medicine (Sensory Physiology and Exercise Physiology) at Showa university (TOKYO) and other educational institutions, with great results in improving pain and complaints. I practiced at the City Clinic for 6 years. Even during the COVID pandemic, there was such a high demand that there was a two-week wait for new appointments. In addition, most new patients (90%) are referred by patients who have already received the therapy, indicating a high level of satisfaction with the treatment. Furthermore, many patients are referred by physicians from other clinics because of the effectiveness of the therapy in treating symptoms that have not responded to treatment in modern medicine.

What is HIROKI style Japanese Alternative Medicine?

HIROKI style Japanese Alternative Medicine uses traditional medicine (Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Anma, Shiatsu, Manipulation and Exercise), which has developed independently in Japan since the 6th century, as a method of treatment, based on the effective theory of modern medicine (accumulated scientific research results), to improve symptoms (mainly stiffness and pain) of the musculoskeletal system (skeletal muscle system ) and nervous system symptoms (mainly stiffness and pain). It also aims to improve unpleasant symptoms caused by autonomic nervous system malfunctions.

HIROKI Style includes "TEAT", "Nippon Massage" and "MOXA", "TAILOR₋MADE EXERCISE GUIDANCE", "CUPPING" and "PHYSICAL THERAPY" in the best combination for the patient's symptoms. Most people who have undergone our treatment clearly feel that it is quite different from the common acupuncture, massage and shiatsu treatments they have received in terms of its stimulation methods, stimulation sensations and effects.

NIPPON MASSAGE

Nippon Massage is Kinematic Massage, a fusion of Shiatsu and Anma, therapeutic massage techniques of Japanese origin based on kinematics and muscle physiology to effectively stretch the local area or the entire body.

TAILOR₋MADE EXERCISE GUIDANCE

Tailor-made Exercise guidance is exercise guidance based on patient characteristics (age, flexibility, strength, balance, motor coordination, exercise experience, pain, movement disorders, etc.), ranging from personal to group.

PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST

We measure body composition, muscle strength, joint range of motion, balance, coordination, and athletic ability appropriately for each patient, and based on the evaluation, we provide appropriate exercise and lifestyle guidance.

ELECTRICAL CURRENTS THERAPY

There are several electrical stimulation modes that use different types of currents intended to stimulate different nerves in a variety of specific ways. Our clinic frequently utilizes electrical stimulation in order to provide a variety of beneficial healing effects, including: Reduce pain, Increase local circulation, Improve range of motion, Reduce muscle spasm.

DEEP HEAT THERAPY

Deep heat therapy is a part of thermotherapy. Thermotherapy contains the application of heat or cold (cryotherapy) to alter the intra-articular, cutaneous, and core temperature of soft tissue(muscles and ligaments) to enhance the symptoms of particular needs. Thermotherapy is a valid adjunct for the remedy of musculoskeletal injuries and soft tissue damage.

  • For example, a patient with osteoarthritis of the knee will have less symptoms if the knee extension and hip abduction muscles become stronger.
  • For example, patients with low back pain are often unable to bend forward much and often have poor thigh muscle flexibility.
  • For example, the functional reach test can assess fall risk and balance ability.
  • The one-legged standing test can assess the risk of motor instability. It can assess the risk of falls.
  • The jointed gait test can assess balance function.
  • The timed up and go test can comprehensively evaluate walking ability, dynamic balance, and agility.
