Clothing

Basically, please come in relaxed attire. Or you can bring your own clothes and change.
Nippon Massage does not require you to remove your clothes.
Some treatments, such as TEAT, may require you to expose your skin in and around the affected area. In particular, if you have complaints around the neck, shoulder blades, buttocks, or thighs, you will need to bring clothing that exposes the area or change into clothing provided by the clinic.

Precautions during Treatment

During the treatment, please relax as much as possible, breathe slowly, and especially be aware of your long exhales.
When you are in the treatment position, imagine if you can remain motionless in that position for 30 to 40 minutes. Try to find a position that is as comfortable, painless, and anxiety-free as possible. If you are not sure, feel free to ask your therapist.
In particular, during the TEAT, try not to move your body as much as possible while the needles are being inserted into your body. This is because the needles may bend in the muscles, causing pain and making it difficult to remove them.

About pain and suffering during treatment/exercise

If you have any requests for your practitioner during treatment or exercises, please feel free to ask. In particular, if you are experiencing severe pain from stimulation, or if you feel that the pressure of the massage is too strong, please do not hold back and let the practitioner know accordingly. A certain amount of pain (a heavy, radiating sensation) is often necessary for treatment, but unbearable pain can have an adverse effect.
