HIROKI was born and raised in Japan, and after obtaining a bachelor's degree in economics at Meiji Gakuin university (Japan), worked for a petrochemical company in charge of international logistics.
After experiencing health problems due to hard work, he became interested in preventive medicine and alternative medicine. After three years of study at a Japanese traditional medicine school (Japan), he passed the Japanese national exam and obtained national certifications in acupuncture & Moxibustion therapy, Anma therapy, Swedish massage, and Shiatsu therapy (in 2000).
Since then he has had 23 years of private practice experience.
In 2002, he completed the Physical Therapy Teaching Course at Tsukuba University (Japan) and received his teaching license in physical therapy institutions including acupuncture and moxibustion and Japanese massage.
After receiving his teaching license, he taught many students as a full-time faculty member for 12 years at professional schools and a university (Suzuka University of Medical Science, Japan) with a Traditional Alternative Japanese Medicine curriculum.
At the same time, he studied physiology as a research fellow at Showa University School of Medicine (Japan) from 2004, and completed his doctoral studies at Showa University Graduate School of Medicine in 2010, receiving his PhD of Medical Science in 2012. Since then, he has continued to research muscle physiology (skeletal and smooth muscle) and sensory physiology as his specialty areas, and has clarified and clinically applied the effects of acupuncture, moxibustion, Japanese massage, and exercise on the body.
His approach in treatment is always scientific and based on findings from previous scientific studies. Thus, based on proper medical knowledge, he estimates the cause of the symptoms complained of by the patient, applies appropriate physical stimulation to control pain and other symptoms, and at the same time teaches the patient exercises that can be done at home and that are appropriate to the patient's situation, so that the patient can remain well for a long time.
He started his clinical practice in 2017 at City Clinic (Mauritius) and has been helping pain patients in Mauritius for 6 years. He has brought to Mauritius an effective conservative therapy, which should be in between pain medication, such as painkillers, and surgical therapy in the treatment of pain.
