Current History
The pain started 2 weeks ago due to prolonged driving. One week later, he had an acute exacerbation and received orthopedic drug treatment at the clinic. 5 days ago, he had difficulty walking, and 2 days ago he received drug treatment again at the clinic. His symptoms were aggravated by sitting, standing, and walking, and relieved by lying down.
The pain begins in the buttock and radiates to the posterior mid-thigh and anterior lower leg.
Assessment
Based on interview and physical and neurological examination, the patient was diagnosed with lower extremity pain due to strangulation of the right common peroneal nerve bundle by the piriformis muscle.
Treatment
TEAT was stimulated at 1 Hz for 20 minutes in right piriformis muscle and right common peroneal nerve area.
Outcome
After the third treatment, He was able to work at a desk in a sitting position for one hour without pain and was able to drive a car without any problem.
